King Charles and Queen Camilla Take Over Some of Late Queen's Patronages

King Charles III and his wife, Queen Camilla, have retained several of his mother Queen Elizabeth II’s patronages going into the first anniversary of their coronation

Charles, for his part, will become the patron of the Royal British Legion, which is a nonprofit that aims to provide financial, social and emotional support to military veterans. Charles was under intense scrutiny as his mother Queen Elizabeth II’s heir apparent when he met Camilla (née Shand) in 1970. “His Majesty’s medical team [is] very encouraged by the progress made so far and remain positive about the King’s continued recovery,” Buckingham Palace said in a statement late last month.
