King Charles 'won't make first move' in mending Harry rift, royal insiders claim

A palace source has claimed that the people surrounding King Charles have not 'encouraged reconciliation' as the relationship between father and son continues to deteriorate

This follows Harry's bombshell tell-all book Spare, where he took aim at his father and stepmother Queen Camilla while he alleged that his elder brother Prince William physically assaulted him. The magazine reports that Prince William has shown "no interest" in bridging the gap, Queen Camilla "stays out of it", and even the King's closest confidant, his private secretary Sir Clive Alderton, is "unlikely to push for a personal outreach". Additionally, speaking earlier to the Mirror, Majesty Magazine’s editor-in-chief Ingrid Seward commented that any apology from Harry for his prior conduct might be a long way off, even though he’s indicated a desire for reconciliation.
