King Charles 'supportive' of solving spooky mystery at haunted royal palace
The project is one of the biggest mysteries in royal history and would need the monarch's consent to go ahead. Thankfully, King Charles is said to be 'supportive' of the work
While the late Queen blocked any attempt to investigate the legitimacy of the bones, it is said that the King may provide his backing as he is "supportive" of the project. The bodies of two children were found in a box under a staircase in the Tower of London during Charles II's reign and were interred in the Royal Crypts. While other children's skeletons have been found before, the belief that these bodies were those of the lost princes is supported by the fact that the box contained "rags of velvet" and matched the location given in an account by historian Thomas More.
