Killer Mike Sues Security Firm After Being ‘Wrongfully Detained’ At 2024 Grammys
The rapper was arrested last year after winning three Grammys.
The artist and his team were reportedly departing the media center to the Crypto.com Arena red carpet when Killer Mike was halted and “accosted” by a security guard despite having “all requisite credentials.” The lawsuit was filed on Monday, February 3, in Los Angeles Superior Court, with Killer Mike accusing S&S Labor Force of “false arrest and imprisonment, assault, battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress and negligence.” “Plaintiff was therefore deprived of the valuable opportunity to be present at the awards ceremony where he was scheduled to appear on primetime television in front of a huge international audience to appear and speak and be recognized on the telecast for his historic achievements.”
