Kevin Spacey Responds to New Sexual-Harassment Allegations
“I have finally realized that if I don’t fight back, this will never end,” he said.
In a lengthy interview with Dan Wootton, Spacey acknowledged that he has in the past been “promiscuous,” “flirty,” “annoying at times,” and “definitely persistent” — but denied ever engaging in any illegal behavior. “But I cannot and will not take responsibility or apologize to anyone who’s made up stuff about me or exaggerated stories about me.” According to Spacey, he has never locked a door or physically blocked anyone from leaving a room (though he “cried once” to try to get someone to stay). Their claims are said to span five decades and include allegations of sexual harassment tied to both the House of Cards set and London’s Old Vic Theater.
