Kevin Spacey Fires Back at New Doc About Alleged Abuse: ‘I Will Not Sit Back and Be Attacked’ by a ‘Desperate Attempt for Ratings’

Kevin Spacey has fired back at the 'Spacey Unmasked' docuseries: "I will not sit back and be attacked' by a 'desperate attempt for ratings'

Kevin Spacey has gone on the attack against an upcoming docuseries about him that is due to air next week. The two-part “Spacey Unmasked,” which Variety revealed would broadcast in the U.K. on Channel 4 May 6 and 7 and had been acquired by Max for the U.S., is described as featuring “never-seen-before interviews and archive” to examine the actor’s life “from childhood to early success on Broadway and subsequent meteoric rise to stardom.” However, on Thursday he posted a statement on X accusing the broadcaster of not giving him enough time to “respond to allegations made against me dating back 48 years.” He also said that he would “not sit back and be attacked by a dying network’s one-side ‘documentary’ about me in their desperate attempt for ratings,” adding that “each time I have been given the time and a proper forum to defend myself, the allegations have failed under scrutiny and I have been exonerated.”
