Kevin Smith recalls 'a thousand people protesting' at the NYFF premiere of his 1999 movie 'Dogma,' where then-baby daughter Harley was dressed as an angel
When the family arrived at Lincoln Center, "We stepped out of the car and we had this little set of angel wings [on Harley]," says Smith, 54, of his daughter, who is now 25 but was just 3 months old at the time. Speaking to some of the controversial subject matter of the film, he adds, "We get out of the car, it's a thousand people protesting, holding a huge statue of Mary and praying the rosary and shouting at us and stuff."
