Kevin Costner ‘s Western epic Horizon: An American Saga had its world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival on Sunday, getting an 11-minute, 40-second ovation after the credits began rolling at the Grand Theatre Lumiere. Horizon: An American Saga – Chapter 1 is due to hit theaters June 28 via Warner Bros, with the second coming on its heels August 16. The film has been wrapping up sales in international territories here, while Costner, after finishing up a festival photo call earlier Sunday, received France’s Order of Arts and Letters honor from French Culture Minister Rachida Dati in a ceremony that came complete with a hat-tip to his role in The Bodyguard reference.
