Kesha Teases ‘Joy Ride,’ Which Arrives on Independence Day

Kesha has teased new song 'Joy Ride,' which will arrive on July 4.

It will be the first new song she has released since she settled the nearly decade-long defamation lawsuit with Dr. Luke last summer, years after Kesha filed a suit against the producer in 2014 alleging sexual, physical, and emotional abuse. Kesha’s “Joy Ride” arrives a week before Katy Perry’s new song “Woman’s World” will drop from her upcoming sixth album, which Dr. Luke co-produced alongside Max Martin, Stargate, and several others. Perry has previously worked with the production pair of Dr. Luke and Martin on some of her biggest hits, including “I Kissed a Girl,” “Teenage Dream,” “Dark Horse,” and “Roar.”
