Kesha tells Forbes she finally 'feels free' after spending 'millions of dollars' in legal fees across nearly 10 years in litigation with Dr. Luke.

Kesha says she’s feeling “gratitude” and “happiness” after releasing “ Joyride,” her first single as an independent artist after parting ways with Dr. Luke ‘s Kemosabe Records and RCA. Speaking with Forbes, the 37-year-old singer-songwriter opened up about the the relief she feels, not only since sharing “Joyride,” but also after settling her legal battle with Kemosabe Records founder Dr. Luke. Luke steadfastly denied the claims and sued her for defamation, but it was still nearly a decade before the pair settled the case out of court a year ago.
