Kendrick Lamar Trolls Drake’s ‘Drop, Drop’ Adlib During Grand National Tour Opener


The rap beef might’ve cooled off, but Kendrick brought the heat back with a sly reference to Drake’s ‘Family Matters’ diss track.

In the clip making its rounds on the internet, Kendrick sits calmly in a chair while a voice off-screen, playing the role of an “attorney,” prompts him: “Sunday, Feb 9.” The rapper shrugs, replying, “I don’t keep up with the dates.” Drop….” Cue the screen fading to black and the haunting whisper of “Psst, I see dead people” — the opening line from the year’s biggest diss records, “Not Like Us.” The crowd erupted. While the back-and-forth between the rap titans has cooled in recent weeks, K Dot’s latest move made it clear that the tension hasn’t fully evaporated.
