Kendrick Lamar Replaces Drake At No. 1
Kendrick Lamar’s GNX reclaims No. 1 on Billboard’s Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart, knocking Drake’s Some Sexy Songs for You to No. 2.
That Billboard tally ranks the most-consumed full-lengths and EPs that can be classified as hip-hop, R&B, or rap, and it uses a methodology that combines sales and streaming activity to show which projects are actually the biggest and most popular in the country. As GNX conquers the list again, Drake’s latest full-length Some Sexy Songs 4 U, a collaborative project with his friend PartyNextDoor, dips just one slot to No. Drake fills half a dozen slots on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart, as some of his classics — including Take Care, Views, and Scorpion — all continue to find space after several hundred frames apiece.
