Kendrick Lamar Drops ‘GNX’: New Album Features SZA, Jack Antonoff, Kamasi Washington

Kendrick Lamar has surprise-released his new album 'GNX' featuring contributions from SZA and Jack Antonoff.

Lamar also makes reference to his controversial Super Bowl Halftime Show performance on the opening track “Wacced Out Murals,” a gig that many on the internet complained should have gone to Lil Wayne due to its taking place in his native New Orleans. “I used to bump ‘Tha Carter 3,’ I held my Rollie chain proud / Irony, I think my hard work let Lil Wayne down,” he raps. He made headlines in the spring for his feud with Drake, releasing a string of singles including “Euphoria,” “Meet the Grahams” and “Not Like Us,” the latter of which became the only song to make a significant impact on the charts.
