Kendrick Lamar and Timothée Chalamet Dig Into the Creative Process in New Interview

Kendrick Lamar linked up with Timothee Chalamet for a new interview about creativity ahead of his performance at the Super Bowl halftime show.

Chalamet said preparing for a role or scene poses similar challenges, on top of an even more existential one he’s experienced as an actor: “The thing about acting is, if you don’t have an audience, it’s just a form of insanity,” he said. Lamar is heading into the Super Bowl after a massive night at the Grammys last week, where he won five awards for his scathing Drake diss “Not Like Us,” including Song and Record of the Year. As for Chalamet, he’s been on a presstour for the ages for his Bob Dylan biopic A Complete Unknown, including a Rolling Stone cover story and a recent stint as host and musical guest on Saturday Night Live.
