Two days after appearing to get into a heated argument with a female security guard on the Cannes Film Festival red carpet, the Destiny’s Child alum opened up to the Associated Press on Thursday (May 23) about the viral video. As Rowland starts to walk away, the guard talks with a pair of nearby workers, which prompts the Mea Culpa star to turn around and add another remark. The annual event reportedly prohibited selfies on the red carpet in 2018 for similar reasons, and the publication adds that guests who break the rules are “often met with their phones being grabbed or security covering the camera lens.”
