Kelly Clarkson has always been a Swiftie, and she paid tribute to Taylor Swift on her daytime talk show Tuesday afternoon (Nov. 26) by performing a cover of “Lavender Haze” during her popular Kellyoke segment. Dressed in a yellow top and patterned skirt, the star effortlessly hit Swift’s high notes in the chorus, singing, “I feel the lavender haze creepin’ up on me/ Surreal, I’m damned if I do give a damn what people say/ No deal, the 1950s s— they want from me/ I just wanna stay in that lavender haze.” “I happened upon the phrase ‘lavender haze’ when I was watching Mad Men,” she previously explained of the track in her now-deleted “Midnights Mayhem With Me” video posted to Instagram.
