Kelly Clarkson Says an ‘American Idol’ Producer Wasn’t a ‘Fan’ of Her Because She Didn’t Like Makeup

Kelly Clarkson revealed that a producer on American Idol wasn't a 'fan' of her because she didn't like to wear makeup during filming due to an allergy issue.

“They were like, ‘So we’re about to be on camera,’ and I was like, ‘I know,’” Kelly, 41, said on the Monday, February 26, episode of Jason Bateman, Sean Hayes and Will Arnett ’s “Smartless” podcast. Kelly went on to say that she wore makeup to perform on stage but didn’t care to do so when they were filming “behind-the-scenes” content. I just don’t care about things I feel like people put a lot of weight and gravity in,” she added.
