Kelly Clarkson covered Metallica's 'Sad But True' for a Kellyoke segment during her daytime talk show.
On her Kellyoke musical segment on Monday, Clarkson sang Metallica’s “Sad But True” and put her own spin on the 1991 classic. The music pauses when the Grammy-winning artist belts the same lyrics the song is titled after, “Sad but true,” Clarkson’s powerful vocals prompting cheers from the audience. From Katy Perry and Ariana Grande to Florence + the Machine and the White Stripes, the talk show host has spanned a range of song covers and even released a Kellyoke EP in 2022.
