The woman in the audience seemed really upset, shouting, “People are going to die!” Edwards responded, “I made an incorrect assumption that everyone in the auditorium understood that yes, we are all going to perish from this earth.” He then tried to make a light moment with a joke about the tooth fairy-for about two seconds-before launching into a preachy message-close to converting his audience to the gospel of “accepting Jesus Christ as your Savior” for eternal life. Others questioned the video: “Please tell me this is satire?” The worst news for Edwards comes from various sources all confirming the footage is indeed genuine, such a thing making worse his already formidable PR disaster.
