Keir Starmer's humiliation as song mocking him tops downloads and sales charts

A song mocking Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer has topped the downloads and sales charts - but missed out on the Christmas number one, which went to Wham!'s Last Christmas

Parody group Sir Starmer and The Granny Harmers created quite the buzz with their hilariously cheeky track using the melody of the classic hit Lonely This Christmas by Mud. The song pokes fun at Sir Keir and his Labour Government for slashing winter fuel payments and has shockingly clocked up 14,000 sales even without the support of radio airplay. A BBC spokesperson explained: "Decisions about which tracks we play are made on a case-by-case basis in line with what our audience expects to hear."
