Katie Price is offered £5,000 by animal charity PETA to stop owning pets following string of deaths as she gets £1,200 Sphynx and 'gives away puppy Tank'

The former glamour model, 45, has been offered £5,000 to stop owning pets by animal charity PETA.

After reports Katie has given away her puppy Tank to an electrician after 'losing interest', People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) have written an open letter to the star, who last month was seen with a new £1,200 Sphynx kitten. 'While your intentions may be good, the ever-growing number of animals who have either died under your supervision or been given away is impossible to ignore, and people are rightly concerned,' PETA Vice President Elisa Allen wrote, in the letter shared by The Sun. In response to the open letter, a representative of Katie's told MailOnline: 'Kate has asked PETA many times to have a conversation with her directly, but instead they continue to play the narrative out in the media.
