After reports Katie gave away her puppy Tank after 'losing interest', People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) wrote an open letter to the star in February 2024. 'While your intentions may be good, the ever-growing number of animals who have either died under your supervision or been given away is impossible to ignore, and people are rightly concerned,' PETA Vice President Elisa Allen wrote, in the letter shared by The Sun. In response to the open letter, a representative of Katie's told MailOnline: 'Kate has asked PETA many times to have a conversation with her directly, but instead they continue to play the narrative out in the media.
