Katie Piper shares heartfelt update on 'years of battling with eye'
Katie Piper has taken to social media to share an update on her health with her followers, revealing that she has undergone a surgical procedure to help safeguard her left eye
She has come a long way since her trauma and has bravely rebuilt her life - she is now a campaigner for other victims, and has been awarded an OBE for charity and burns services, reports the Mirror. Around the same time, Katie opened up to her fans about finding it 'mentally hard' as she undergoes more surgeries and continues life with the injuries she sustained in the acid attack in 2008.
