Dawson’s Creek star Katie Holmes is paying tribute to Obi Ndefo, her former co-star whose death was announced Aug. 31. Holmes, who played Joey Potter on the WB series, wrote on her Instagram story that Ndefo “was wonderful to work with and such a kind man. After graduating from Yale University’s drama school, Ndefo began acting in various TV roles on episodes of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, The Wayans Bros., The Jamie Foxx Show and 3rd Rock from the Sun.
