Katie Holmes stepped out on an errand run in her adopted hometown of New York City on Friday.

The Toledo native, best known for portraying Joey Potter on Dawson's Creek, is coming off two performances last year, which included her return to the theatre to star in the off-Broadway play The Wanderers by Ann Ziegler. She also served as co-writer, director and actor in the drama film Rare Objects alongside Julia Mayorga, Saundra Santiago, Derek Luke, and Alan Cumming.
