Katie Gavin Bridges Gap Between Muna and Her Debut Solo LP With ‘Aftertaste’
Muna's Katie Gavin has announced her debut solo album 'What a Relief,' out Oct. 25, featuring the new single 'Aftertaste.'
The record will include the newly-released single “Aftertaste,” an ode to the relief of a reciprocated crush on which Gavin leads familiar listeners out of Muna’s world and into her own. “It’s about having a really deep desire for connection, but also encountering all the obstacles that stood in my way to be able to achieve that, patterns of isolation or even boredom with the real work of love,” Gavin said. In November, Gavin will embark on an 11-date North American tour making stops in New York, Los Angeles, Nashville, Toronto, Seattle, and more.
