Katie Gaudreau gets married this summer after her brothers, Johnny and Matthew, were killed the day before her original date
The couple was originally supposed to get married on August 31, 2024, but were tragically forced to postpone after Johnny, 31, and Matthew, 29, were struck and killed by an alleged drunk driver while riding bicycles in Oldmans Township, New Jersey the night before the ceremony. The wife of the former Columbus Blue Jackets star posted a photo via Instagram of the couple from 2024, with Meredith holding a box of Tim Hortons Timbits mini donuts. Matthew was getting set to move on from his coaching job with the North American Hockey League’s Philadelphia Rebels and welcome his first baby with his wife, Madeline Gaudreau.
