Katie Couric Becomes a Grandma After Daughter Ellie Welcomes First Child: 'We Feel So Blessed'

The news anchor announced the birth of her grandson on Instagram Sunday morning.

On Sunday, the television anchor shared the news that her daughter, Ellie Monahan, welcomed a baby boy with her husband, Mark Dobrosky, making her a grandmother for the first time. In her post, Couric explained that her grandson's middle name honors her son-in-law's grandfather, Albert, and that mom, dad and baby are happy and healthy. After several years of dating (and a pandemic-delayed wedding), the couple tied the knot in a gorgeous ceremony at a New York cabin in July 2021.
