Katie Cassidy opened up about her difficult relationship with her father David Cassidy in the final few years of his life
The former Partridge Family actor had several alcohol-related run-ins with police in the last few years of his life, resulting in court-ordered rehab following a DUI arrest in 2014. Former Arrow star Katie told host Michael Rosenbaum that she still felt connected with David “emotionally” and “spiritually,” even though he’s no longer physically with her. The costars — who play architect Ava and Prince Henry, respectively, in the 2023 rom-com — knew their connection couldn’t be denied after meeting on set in Canada.
