Kate Winslet reveals secret behind-the-scenes details about Titanic film

Kate Winslet has revealed the truth behind the iconic Titanic door scene and admitted how it was actually filmed - and it wasn't in the ocean, as appears on screen.

"Well, that was quite an awkward tank, that one," admitted the acclaimed actress, who starred alongside Leonardo DiCaprio in the flick, as she revealed behind-the-scenes details during an appearance on the Happy Sad Confused podcast with Josh Horowitz. Despite it being 26 years since the film's release, Kate and Leonardo are still close friends (Image: AFP via Getty Images)Additionally, she made a witty remark regarding the infamous door scene, hinting that her co-star "probably got PTSD from the whole thing" as enthusiasts continue to argue over whether Jack could have fit on the makeshift raft alongside Rose. The movie, which was released in 1998, was based on the tragic events of 1912, when more than 1,500 people drowned in the North Atlantic after a luxury steamship hit an iceberg and subsequently sank.
