Kate Winslet finally confirms theory about floating Titanic 'door' that has divided people for decades

Award-winning actress Kate Winslet has reignited the Titanic 'door scene' controversy by revealing a surprising new detail about the famous scene.

During an October 21 interview on the Australian talk show The Project, Winslet, who starred in the 1997 blockbuster alongside Leonardo DiCaprio, clarified that the floating object her character Rose clings to in the iconic film is often misidentified. Titanic's ending has caused a storm of protests among fans, with many attempting over the years to disprove that only Rose could have survived - insisting there was plenty of room on the door for Jack. Director James Cameron told the Toronto Sun that he once commissioned a scientific study to test various survival scenarios for Jack and Rose, involving stunt doubles and different reenactments.
