Her sultry performance of Diamonds Are a Girl's Best Friend, wearing a pink satin dress and flanked by adoring male admirers has been endlessly emulated.
The supermodel, who turned 50 last week, wore a pink strapless gown - similar to Ms Monroe's William Travilla creation - and over-the-elbow gloves, with her blonde hair curled in 1950s-style waves. Dripping in jewellery, Ms Moss did her best impression of the late film star by flinging her arms up in the air and posing alongside a group of male dancers. Ms Monroe cemented her status as Hollywood's ultimate blonde bombshell with her role in Howard Hawks' 1953 musical comedy, starring opposite Jane Russell and Charles Coburn.
