Kate Middleton's special birthday tradition that is reserved for just four people

The Princess of Wales has become one of the most indispensable members of the Royal Family and she is set to enjoy an exclusive honour as she marks her 42nd birthday

While she spent the first few years finding her feet as a member of the Royal Family, Kate is now an indispensable asset to the Firm and continues to launch a series of exciting passion projects. This is a tradition which is strictly limited to the four most senior members of the family, including King Charles (November 14), The Queen (July 17) and the Prince of Wales (June 21). "Due to the financial challenges posed to the Abbey by the Covid-19 pandemic, and in consultation with Buckingham Palace, the bells will now ring only for the birthdays of HM The Queen and HRH The Prince of Wales."
