Photos of the duo have always suggested a unique bond, as seen at Royal Ascot in 2017, where they were caught on camera laughing as Sophie almost landed on Kate after stumbling into their carriage. During the pandemic, the two women also collaborated to make a video call to hard-working nurses in various global locations, including Australia, India, Malawi, the Bahamas and Cyprus. Unlike other family in-laws like the late Princess Diana and Meghan Markle who spoke about their difficulties adjusting to The Firm's strict expectations, Sophie - similar to Kate - seems to be universally respected and liked, earning her the nickname "bridge between generations", reports the Mirror.
