Kate Middleton Pulls Out of 2025 Royal Ascot Appearance Last Minute
Kate Middleton skipped the 2025 Royal Ascot as Prince William attended solo while she continues recovering from her cancer journey
Kate, 43, was set to be in attendance during day 2 of the annual event alongside husband Prince William when an official list revealing which royal family members were set to be in attendance was quickly revised, revealing that William would be riding alongside King Charles III, Queen Camilla and Prince Saud bin Khalid Al-Saud in one carriage. One month later, Kensington Palace confirmed that Kate wouldn’t be involved in any royal engagements until after April at the earliest due to a planned abdominal surgery. The Princess of Wales announced in March 2024 that she had been diagnosed with an undisclosed type of cancer and would be stepping back from a series of public-facing duties, only making a few appearances throughout the year.
