Kate Middleton Hospitalized for Abdominal Surgery, Likely Won't Return to Public Duties Until After Easter

The 42-year-old Princess of Wales will be in the hospital for 10 to 14 days after undergoing a successful surgery, the Palace says.

On Wednesday, Kensington Palace released a statement to ET, sharing that the Princess of Wales was admitted to The London Clinic for surgery on Tuesday. The Palace goes on to share that Middleton "appreciates the interest" that this news will bring, but adds, "She hopes that the public will understand her desire to maintain as much normality for her children as possible; and her wish that her personal medical information remains private." Middleton's last public appearance took place when she joined the royal family, including King Charles III and Queen Camila, at the Christmas Day service at Sandringham Church.
