Kate Middleton Expected to Halt Public Duties for 'Some Time' Amid Cancer
Kate Middleton announced in March that she had been diagnosed with cancer and is now reportedly prolonging her absence from the public
“My medical team therefore advised that I should undergo a course of preventative chemotherapy, and I’m now in the early stages of that treatment,” Kate said in a video released via Kensington Palace on March 22. Buckingham Palace announced in February 2024 that King Charles III received a cancer diagnosis one week after he was admitted to The London Clinic to undergo treatment for an enlarged prostate. The Prince of Wales recently attended the opening of James’ Place Newcastle, a local suicide prevention center for men, on Tuesday, April 30.
