Kate Middleton and Prince William have arrived in Wales on their first joint engagement for more than a year, ahead of St David’s Day

The Prince and Princess of Wales have arrived in Pontypridd to mark St David’s Day and learn how the community is coping following recent devastating flooding. Kate has carried out a series of royal engagements in recent weeks as she makes a gradual return to public duties since completing her bout of chemotherapy last summer. The couple cooked their cakes on a hot plate, keeping a watchful eye on them and turning them after five minutes, and Madison Conner, daughter of the shop owner, gave them the seal of approval.
