Kate Garraway shares her children’s poignant gesture for their friends following dad Derek Draper’s death

GMB star Kate Garraway opened up about the loss of her husband Derek Draper and how her kids are helping their friends understand.

Derek’s funeral took place on February 2 (Credit: Splashnews.com) Ahead of next month’s national Day of Reflection, on Friday (February 9) Kate was joined by Ben Shephard, who attended Derek’s funeral, actor Larry Lamb, and bereavement counsellor Claire Collins. Kate recognises that it would have been “tough” for those “who hadn’t got that wrap around, around them or the chance to have a funeral where they could hug loved ones” at the height of the pandemic.
