Kate Ferdinand bravely details her secret skin battle with makeup-free snap after admitting the condition left her feeling 'insecure'
The former TOWIE star, 32, admitted she had 'really, really struggled' with hyperpigmentation in the past, and it left her feeling 'so insecure.'
In a video in conjunction with skincare giant, La Roche Posay, Kate shared: 'I started getting like a black mark on the top of my head and above my lip and the kids were like: 'What's that? The star was praised by fans for sharing her common skin struggles, and she later added: 'Thank you so much for all of your messages on my recent post, I really didn't realise how many of you have pigmentation/melasma too! Speaking to the paper in March, Kate was asked what her 'beauty splurges' were, to which she replied: 'All my skincare products are expensive, but I have suffered from melasma [patchy pigmentation] so I really do take care of my skin.'
