Kate Bush Is ‘Very Keen to Start Working on a New Album’: ‘I’ve Got Lots of Ideas’

In a rare interview, Kate Bush said she is 'very keen to start working on a new album.'

In a rare interview with BBC Radio 4’s “Today” program, the elusive artist said she is “very keen to start working on a new album.” Bush spoke to the BBC’s Emma Barnett about a new short film, “Little Shrew” — set to her 2011 song “Snowflake” — that she wrote and directed to raise money for children in war-torn countries. Bush’s last release was her 2011 record “50 Words for Snow.” Since then, the 66-year-old musician gained a whole new generation of fans when her 1985 single “Running Up That Hill” was used in a prominent scene in Netflix’s “Stranger Things.” But she continued to keep a low profile and did not attend the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame ceremony when she was inducted in 2023.
