Kat Von D Details ‘Polar Opposite’ Life in Indiana, 'Tiny Town' of 1200

Kat Von D opened up to Us Weekly about moving from California to a town of 1,200 people in Indiana

“I live in the middle of nowhere in Indiana,” Von D, 42, exclusively told Us Weekly while promoting her new single, “ Illusion,” and her second album, My Side of the Mountain, which comes out in September. “My husband [and] I were both born in Mexico, in very simple upbringings, we feel like there was a big benefit to not having a lot of things and being more in tune with nature,” she explained. Since the advent of pop music, female singers have been lifting up other women with catchy empowerment anthems, and Us Weekly is celebrating 10 of those songs in this video.
