Nicole Holofcener and Steven Soderbergh are also set to present films at the festival.
Mortensen will receive the award at the festival’s opening ceremony before a screening of his latest directorial effort The Dead Don’t Hurt. Mexico-born filmmaker Michel Franco will screen his 2023 drama Memory, starring Jessica Chastain and Peter Sarsgaard. British band Kosheen will perform as part of the opening concert of the 58th Karlovy Vary International Film Festival.
