Karen Hauer's new boyfriend Simon Davidson is a long-term pal of her Strictly Come Dancing colleague Gorka Marquez, MailOnline can reveal.
The loved-up pair, who earlier this month were spotted leaving the Strictly Live tour in Birmingham, 'hit it off immediately' when they were introduced by Gorka and his partner Gemma Atkinson (pictured in October 2023) Throughout his career to date, he was rubbed shoulders with a number of stars from the sports world, including 2012 Olympic champion Jessica Ennis and English cricket player Stuart Broad. In 2023, Simon was one of the athletes who helped former English rugby player Rob Burrow - who suffers from motor neurone's disease - cross the finish line of the Leeds Marathon.
