Kara Tointon, 40, admits 'motherhood hits you like a punchbag' but is 'embracing' ageing and insists she's 'not terrified' to get older


The actress, 40, said that becoming a mother has meant she has less time to spend maintaining her youthful looks, but gushed that it was 'very grounding' as 'you just have one focus.'

Kara is returning to TV screens this month, after mainly working in theatre for the past few years, and has scored her first lead role in Too Good To Be True. Speaking to the Daily Mail's Weekend magazine last month, Kara explained that she had opted for theatre over the past eight years, because she preferred the roles, but was dipping her toe back into filming because she loved the character of Rachel. She plays a single mother named Rachel (pictured), who works as a cleaner to support her 11-year-old son Liam, before becoming entangled in a controlling situation with her new boss
