Kansas singer Ronnie Platt, 65, shares major health update amid brave cancer battle

Kansas frontman Ronnie Platt announced he's now back home and doing well following thyroid cancer surgery, just over two weeks after confirming his diagnosis on Facebook.

The rock band, behind the classic songs Dust In The Wind and Carry On Wayward Son, catapulted their wildly successful career with the release their first album Topeka in 1974. The group's original line-up consisted of Richard Williams, Phil Ehart, Kerry Livgren, Steve Walsh, Robbie Steinhardt, and Dave Hope. Currently, Williams and Ehart are the only remaining original members of the group, which now also includes Platt, Zak Rivi, Tom Brislin, Joe Deninzon, and Dan McGowan.
