Kamala Harris made her first appearance on The View as Democratic presidential nominee, in a very friendly setting where she outlined some of her policy priorities and got a chance to respond to rival Donald Trump ‘s falsehoods about the administration’s hurricane response. Harris also commented on the oncoming Hurricane Milton, which is threatening central Florida, and the claim by the state’s governor, Ron DeSantis, who said this morning that she has never called regarding any of the storms until now. Whoopi Goldberg introduced her as the “next president of the United States,” and Beyonce’s Freedom, Harris’ campaign anthem, played as she made her way to the set.
