k.d. lang Signs Publishing Deal With Reservoir Media
k.d. lang signs a go-forward publishing deal with Reservoir Media, founded by fellow Canadian Golnar Khosrowshahi.
Golnar Khosrowshahi, the founder and CEO of Reservoir (and one of the leaders on Billboard Canada ‘s 2024 Power Players list), is Canadian herself and understands the iconic status k.d. She’s charted on the Billboard Hot 100 twice, with her yearning 1992 hit “Constant Craving” and a showstopping 2010 Vancouver live version of fellow Canadian Leonard Cohen ‘s “Hallelujah.” Originating in the early ’80s in Alberta as part of the burgeoning “cowpunk” scene, lang has never stopped evolving, even appearing on the Billboard Dance/Electronic Albums Chart in 2021. But while lang’s deal with Reservoir includes some of her past work, it’s also about the future – which shows a trust in her continued success beyond her achievements.
