Justin Timberlake Was Not Treated ‘Better’ in DWI Case Because of Fame


Suffolk County District Attorney Ray Tierney made it clear that Justin Timberlake was not treated ‘better’ in DWI case because of his celebrity status

Justin TimberlakeCourtesy of Levi's/MEGA“The one thing that we want to make sure we’re doing is … being consistent, and we don’t want to treat any defendant better than others because of, you know, because of any perceived notoriety they may have,” Suffolk County District Attorney Ray Tierney told Page Six on Thursday, September 12. After getting his start on Star Search and The All New Mickey Mouse Club, Timberlake formed ‘NSync alongside MMC costar JC Chasez, Lance Bass, Joey Fatone and Chris Kirkpatrick. TMZ reported on Wednesday that a judge had signed off on a plea deal to drop Timberlake’s DWI charge, lowering it to a traffic violation.
