Just For Laughs Festival Sets Dates For Montreal Return In 2025 After Bankruptcy Wiped Out 2024 Edition
The Just for Laughs comedy festival in Montreal has set the dates for its return in the summer of 2025 after bankruptcy wiped out the 2024 edition.
The dates were revealed as lottery and gaming firm Loto-Québec confirmed its commitment as a signature partner of the 2025 festival. Earlier this year, the presenters of the festival announced they were canceling the 2024 edition and letting go of several dozen staffers due to the one-two punch of Covid and rising inflation. “This irreplaceable support from Loto-Québec consolidates our position as a leader in the comedy industry and allows us to prepare a memorable edition for 2025,” Just for Laughs CEO Sylvain Parent-Bédard said.
